Among other people born today we find my maternal grandmother Lilian, who turns 75 today. I have called her and wished her a happy 75th and told her to get well, as she is in bad health right now.

Thanks. She is feeling better now than last week, when she had to stay in the hospital for three days. I suppose giving up smoking after 58 years did something to help her shortness of breath. (She's much too pigheaded to give up without a fight, though. If I ever have a family crest designed, it will have a mule in it, for extreme mulishness is one of the common traits of both my houses.)
