Half-blood princes

I have reached page 340 of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, and won't comment on it until people have had a sporting chance to read it. I'm glad the Harry Potter for Grownups list is closed until Tuesday, or I would probably have had it spoiled by now...

I couldn't be less interested in the plot, but please tell me if it's as bad as the previous one or if Rowling has got her act together and written a good book this time. Because if it isn't better than the fourth or fifth in the series, I'm not going to bother reading it anyway.
