Just got back from dinner at Bamboo Palace together with my friends Jan and Justina. Lots of good food in the buffet, except the sushi (served at room temperature and with a taste rather like that of rancid butter, as if it had been left on the table overnight). O tempura, o mores! Still, the other dishes were good enough to gobble yourself silly on, so I did.

Anyhow, I didn't celebrate our National Day; rather, I ignored it to the best of my ability. Instead, I spent two hours going through 3000 vinyl records at a flea market, at the nice price of 10 SEK for three records. And this is what I found:

Separate artists:
Ananta: Songs From The Future (LP 1985: some kind of prog rock, I gather)
Baccara: Light My Fire (LP 1978: two Spanish ladies doing disco versions of e.g. Doors’ “Light My Fire” and Ohio Express’ “Yummy Yummy Yummy”.)
Blue For Two: Songs From A Pale And Bitter Moon (LP 1988)
Captivated Bimbo: Heate/Bonanza Rope/Sector 7 (12" 1991: Swedish electronic label Energy Rekords trying to break into the techno scene. Without much success...)
Dschinghis Khan: Dschinghis Khan (LP 1979: the 1979 German entry in the Eurovision Song Contest.)
Electric Banana Band: Electric Banana Band (LP 1981)
Electric Light Orchestra: Out Of The Blue (2LP 1977)
Elektrik Cokernut: Go-Moog! (LP 1973: listed in most exotica dealers' lists as “hard to find”)
Falco: Junge Römer (12" 1984)
Bryan Ferry: Another Time, Another Place (LP 1974)
Frida: Something's Going On (LP 1982: I seriously like this album!)
Hot Gossip: Soul Warfare (12" 1981: Heaven 17 collaborating with a disco collective)
Howard Jones: Things Can Only Get Better (12" 1985: US version with more tracks than the regular Euro pressing)
Stig Järrel: Stig Järrel berättar om Spöket på Canterville (LP 197?: actor Järrel reads “The Canterville Ghost”, accompanied by electronic music by Hans Edler)
Olle Ljungström: Olle Ljungström (CD 1993)
Olle Ljungström: Världens Räddaste Man (CD 1994)
Manuel and the Music of the Mountains: Exotica (LP 1965: true to its title!)
Klasse ”Banarne” Möllberg: Klasse Möllberg i Smurfland (LP 1979: a rather horrible Smurf record in Swedish)
Münchner Chorbuben: Die Münchner Chorbuben singen (7" 1960s?: a boys' choir from Munich.)
Nena: ? (7" 1983: The song title is “?”, i.e. „Fragezeichen”.)
The Northern Territories: Orange Moon (CD 1997: synthpop from Uppsala)
Pink Lace: I'm So Glad (12" 1984: some US junk licensed by Stranded Rekords)
The Pinks: The Pinks (LP 1984: a rather awful Swedish band consisting of six kids)
Shanghai: I Full Frihet (LP 1986: Swedish semi-synthpop idols)
Simple Minds: Sign O' The Times (12" 1989)
Simple Minds: Sweat In Bullet (D7" 1981)
Sparks: When I'm With You (7" 1980)
Taco: Puttin' On The Ritz! (LP 1982)
Staffan Westerberg & Thomas Wiehe: Med örat mot jorden - Ett musikaliskt rymdäventyr (2LP 1980)
Klaus Wunderlich: Hammond For Lovers (LP 1969: So I have the Hammond music, now I just need the lover.)
Klaus Wunderlich: Hammond Pops 2 (LP 1968?)

Children's records:
Godnattstunden med Beppe, Busan, Hungran, Kraman, Gäspan och Sigrid och Kjell Öhmans orkester (del 2) (LP 1972)
Göta Petter! sa gumman som blev liten som en tesked (LP 1968)
Tjorven och Mysak/Tjorven och Stina sjunger barnvisor (LP 1968)

Drama:
Tintin i Amerika (LP 1976: Tintin in America dramatized)

Classical/opera:
Ludwig van Beethoven: Symphonie 7 (Berliner Philharmoniker/Herbert von Karajan) (LP 1960s?)
Die Dreigroschenoper (MLP (10") 1960s?: a 1930 recording of the original cast)
Die Dreigroschenoper: Auszüge/Aus „Mahagonny” (LP 1962: same as above, but also with tracks from the French film version)

Soundtracks:
The Sound of Music (LP 1965)

Various Artists:
Break-Through: An Introduction to Studio 2 Stereo (LP 1965)
Cybernetic Biodread Transmission (LP 1992)
Eurovisions Schlager Festivalen -80 (LP 1980)
Hot Hits 15 (LP 1972: sleeve looks like below)
Music:: Einstürzende Neubauten: Ich gehe jetzt
Mood:: 'full' full
