Creepy crawly things and what they bring

So, first shot of my TBE vaccination. I will need a second shot in 14 days. I might actually spend some time outdoors this year, if there is any summer to speak of, so it may be a good idea to be on the safe side.

An interesting observation: I can look at pictures of ticks and mites and even scorpions all day, or at least until I get bored, without even feeling a slight discomfort, but show me a picture of even the smallest and most harmless member of the Tegenaria genus... Most arachnids (with the exception of Solifugae, which we don't get this far north, and, of course, Araneae) just aren't spidery enough to trigger my arachnophobia.

Whoo! It's kind of expensive, but better than getting TBE?

I'm totally vaccinated... and there is no TBE in Japan. But, you know. Better safe than sorry? (I got my first shots before I knew I was going back here.)

Yup. 350 SEK × 2 (and a third shot in 5-12 months), but, as you point out, better than the alternative. Probably cheaper in the long run, too.
