Miles Vorkosigan has a cunning plan: he is trying to woo Madame Ekaterin Vorsoisson, who was brutally widowed during the course of the former book — only it might be a good idea to tell her he's doing it.
Where Komarr was a thriller and detective story with elements of romance, this is a romantic comedy with some political intrigue, and one of my favourite Vorkosigan novels.
