I've got
this spare blog, that I've actually had since a month or so before I joined LJ, and that's just sitting there with a grand total of three postings since 2004. It doesn't take much space on Blogspot's servers, I admit, but I'm starting to feel that it's a waste of electrons not to use it. I've had a couple of different thoughts:
- Keep it as a backup if LJ should go away or change too much for the worse.
- Use LJ exclusively for social networking and general blathering, and post longer, more considered thoughts to Blogspot. (Which would not significantly increase the number of posts there.)
- Get topical, i.e. write exclusively about one topic. I've been thinking about a music blog, posting tidbits from my collection of oddities;
thette also suggested that I write up anecdotes (I have a few) from my life as a music fan.
So, I might start writing about music again soon. I was an amateur music journalist for Prospective once (between 1998-2001; most back issues still available from me), I own thousands of records even after I got rid of several hundred, I've been to more concerts than I can count, and I have taken hundreds of concert photos; the thing missing is not the stories to tell, but the time to tell them.
Would anyone read it? [Edit: It will probably be mainly in Swedish and about electronic music.]
