Seriously, does anyone think that "they go to Hogwarts, there's some Quidditch, Uncle Vernon is a moron, Snape is a bastard, and there's a new DADA teacher" counts as a fucking spoiler? I mean, it's not as if I'm giving anything of the plot away. Or anything at all, really. If you've read the books, it is only slightly less obvious than "there's a fellow with glasses called Harry" or "it's printed on paper". A spoiler is giving away something essential to the plot and enjoyment of the book, like "Fancr xvyyf Qhzoyrqber" (ROT-13'd for your inconvenience); telling the obvious is not. Of course, there are people who were upset to be told what happened to Anakin Skywalker in the third movie...
I wonder what it must be like to live in that kind of world, where every day, nay, every step is something out of all previous experience, and where you are genuinely surprised everytime you open of those brown, hairy giant nuts and find there's coconut inside it.1
