Dr. Robert Moog has been diagnosed with a brain tumour and is in chemotherapy, as well as radiation therapy. I guess it's not a secret how much Bob's instruments, and the people who play them, have helped shape my mind, and if I'd had the money I would have bought a classic synthesizer instead of the admittedly very nice but slightly toyish MicroKORG1. Isn't it a beauty?

I wish Bob all the best and hope he will recover.
1I don't regret buying a MicroKORG and I haven't tired of it; it is a good synthesizer for beginners and I like it very much. It's a cool machine to make a joyful noise, or at least a noise, unto — well, whoever wants to hear it. (I'm an agnostic leaning towards "probably not", so I can't say for sure whether or not the Lord is listening, although he's welcome to try it if he's in the neighbourhood.) Still, a MiniMoog is a classic in the way a MicroKORG can never be. The Korg MS-10 and MS-20, on the other hand, are almost as legendary as the MiniMoog.
