I just got back home after a weekend in Gävle and a Residents concert, and if my WLAN had connected thirty seconds quicker I could have posted this on November 30. :-P

I'll write a review some time on Monday, but right now I'm off to bed.

Yesterday, Kraftwerk had to cancel their festival gig in Melbourne, Australia, as their sound engineer and live musician Fritz Hilpert (the short, grey-haired guy, third from the left in their usual live setup) was hospitalised for what a visibly upset Ralf Hütter described as "heart failure".

The latest reports say that Fritz has been cleared to fly to Perth, so it appears they won't cancel the rest of the tour. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for him.

Meme from [livejournal.com profile] thette and [livejournal.com profile] jlms:

Rules:
Post 3 things you've done that you believe nobody else on your F-list has done.

Most of mine have to do with music and/or translations. Here goes:

1. Had Rational Youth dedicate a song to me at a gig in Stockholm. (The song was "Pink Pills, Orange Pills" from their then-current album To The Goddess Electricity, and Tracy Howe liked that I had asked intelligent questions about it when I interviewed him (via e-mail) the week before. The pills were Paxil and Zoloft, respectively, and he gave them partial credit for the band's reunion after 11 years.)

2. Entered a reference to Belgian EBM in an Apple Store translation.

3. Interviewed Gabi Delgado of Deutsch-Amerikanische Freundschaft. (I don't think [livejournal.com profile] sunjan ever interviewed him.)
Music:: Yazoo: "Situation" (re-recorded remix)

I may not have mentioned that I've been to a bunch of concerts over the past two months.

The reviews are in Swedish, but if you don't speak the language you can at least look at the pictures. ;-) A summary: I enjoyed them all immensely.
Music:: Cecilias Barn: "Ett För Ett Med Pincett" (live 1989)

A couple of weeks ago I created an RSS feed for my music blog and added it to LJ. Note that it's mainly in Swedish, so the hypothetical foreign reader may not find it very interesting...
